Chiz tops SWS Mobile Survey again, Robredo's score going up

Chiz Escudero grabbed the top spot again in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) Mobile Survey conducted last March 31 among 1200 respondents.

Escudero was preferred by 31% of the respondents, followed by Bongbong Marcos with 26%. Leni Robredo was at third spot, with 25%.

Compared to the last Bilang Pilipino SWS Mobile Survey conducted on March 22, those who preferred Escudero increased by only 1%.  But that was enough to let him pull away from the second placer Marcos, who slipped by 2 percentage points (from 28% to 26%).

Robredo, meanwhile, gained more support compared to the rest, with an increase of two (2) percentage points since the last SWS Mobile Survey.

The spread between the top three vice-presidential contenders and the last three is still wide. Robredo was preferred by almost twice as much respondents compared to Alan Peter Cayetano, who only got 13% in the mobile survey. Antonio Trillanes at 3% and Gregorio Honasan are the consistent cellar dwellers at 3% and 1%, respectively.

Aside from the voting preferences, a significant finding is that only about six out of ten respondents or 59% are sure they will not change their minds in their choice for vice-president.

That means there's still a big possibility that the numbers can still change in the next few weeks. It would be interesting to see if the rankings of the vice presidential candidates will change in the poll surveys, or will stay as is.

It should be noted though, that of the 1200 respondents who were supposed to answer the mobile poll, only 757 or 63% replied to the text about voting preferences. This is a bit lower than the previous mobile survey, wherein 806 or 67% responded to the poll.
